A Foundation with a Solidarity Purpose

Sara María Furman Foundation

The Sara María Furman Foundation is a non-profit organization created to transform tourism activity into concrete social impact. Founded by Boris Furman, its mission is to allocate the resources generated by the Teleférico Cerro Otto to priority social causes, with a special focus on public health and community programs.

As the owner of the Teleférico Cerro Otto, the Foundation consistently donates the company’s surplus funds to the well-being of the community. Its work was officially recognized by the Legislature of Río Negro in 2016, which declared its activities to be of social, cultural, and tourism interest.

Social Impact with Transparency

Our Main Beneficiaries

The Foundation channels the surplus generated by the Cerro Otto Cable Car to make donations to institutions working in health and social services. These charitable contributions are distributed primarily among:

The Ramón Carrillo Zonal Hospital Support Association (Bariloche)

Organizations in the City of Buenos Aires dedicated to the care of senior citizens and people with disabilities

These resources contribute to primary healthcare, the purchase of supplies, medical equipment, and social assistance programs.
